Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter, has denied the charges of sending sexual messages on his cellphone. Police alleged they used an officer posing as a 15-year-old girl to lure and entrap Scott Ritter.

The Scott resigned in 1998 after seven years as a weapons inspector, and has been outspoken against current actions and misinformation regarding the Middle East, and the Fascist Imperialism threat.

The charges have been filed with a local court in Pennsylvania though Mr Ritter lives in New York state. 

Officials say they traced the exchange using a mobile phone, reports say.
